Job Interview Disasters
The boss showed me the shop floor, complete with loose floor tiles, out-of-date equipment and prospective colleagues eyeing me like a raw steak. "Christ, what a craphole", I said. I think that's the moment I blew it. Tell us how you didn't get the job.

ERP system commentary
Interviewer: "We use the SAP system for all transactions: Are you aware of it and what do you think of it?"
Me: "It's an iron fist in a velvet glove"
WTF? I have no idea where that phrase came from or why I said it. Didn't get the job.

my last employer (a multinational FMCG manufacturer) used SAP for production and blow moulding schedules, warehousing, accounts, sales, QC/QA, product development, and pretty much everything of any importance
it was great - it did the job right every time and it never once fell over during the four years I was there
the only gripe was that the interface and functionality could be confusing to new users, but that was more down to individual programmers rather than the system itself
