I remember a nasty nurse told me my parents wern't coming back. In a rare moment of astuteness, I knew that she was lying and it didnt bother me. I wonder how many children she said that to in her career?

I would go completely crazymental. I think that many medical staff become so institutionalised that they stop seeing patients as people and just see them as an annoyance.
