Nativity PlaysEvery year the little kids at schools all over get to put on a play. Often it's christmas themed, but the key thing is that everyone gets a part, whether it's Snowflake #12 or Mary or Grendel (yes, really).
Personally I played a 'Rich Husband' who refused to buy matches from some scabby street urchin. Never did see her again...
Who or what did you get to be? And what did you have to wear?

Some valid pointsBut I believe the QOTW is intended to engage us, as much as entertain us.
So "funniest thing ever" would have two flaws:
1/ It would use our limited collective resource of amusing anecdotes too fast, risking a long-term shortage if we dump them all in one go. Pearoasts can be good, but in moderation.
2/ We need moderation and theme. The slapstick stuff can only shine true when it's balanced; with pathos, bathos, tragedy, observation, philosophy, and all the rest of life's rich tapestry (see 'the nicest thing anyones ever done for me' et. al. for a good QOTW with less laughter). Also, it's easier to engage when you're following a common thread of tales, rather than randomly bouncing across the human universe.

QOTW ThemesWell, it was only a suggestion. I ususlly love reading the QOTW but some of the last ones over the last few months have been piss poor to say the least. They had better have something DAMNED good next week as a contrast or I may find that i have scattered the toys far and wide after being ejected from my pram in a huff !!!!
All I like to do is use this as humourous chewing gum for the eyes in the morning generally but this one ? just very very poor. And as such i have not enjoyed my sunday morning so far.

And I was also going to point out there is a question called 'question of the week suggestions'. Mr ranty-man might want to try there, and wait until the next qotw.
