This is a question I didn't do it

Chthonic wants to know about awful, terrible things you have definitely never done. But secretly have. Confess!

When using the self scan check out
I never say that I have used 10 of my own bags for one pint of milk just to get the nectar points.
Neither do I select 'basics pineapple' on the look up fruit and veg bit when i'm actually buying a normal pineapple.

I really know how to live on the wild side.

I took two packs of bog-roll by mistake on the selfies.
Didn't mean to mind, they were on the little hook at the back of the trolly.

The last time I used the self scan at Waitrose, I left the bottle of wine and the bottle of gin until last as the assistant was not around to confirm that I was over 18.

I scanned the wine and put it in the shopping bag. The light came on and the check out assistant came over and entered a code and helpfully put the bottle of gin in my bag.

Of course I told him of his mistake.

See now that is class.
Going to Waitrose to buy wine and gin.

I however get Ocado to deliver mine.

Could work
for particularly heavy values of milk.

Tesco has
an auto system that works out the most bags you could have possibly used and then beeps the red light to tell the till jockey that you're trying get more points than you should, they then have to count your bags. But I reckon not using a bag is the same as using your own.

What's the difference between a basics pineapple and a normal one?
They both come from a tree. Has one had a better education than the other or something?

Spot the deliberate(?) mistake there
Until recently, I also believed that pineapples came from a tree.
Having asked around, it seems that most people (who don't live in countries where pineapples grow) think the same.

But it turns out, they don't!

They actually grow in the ground, with the leaves sticking out and the fruit beneath the surface.

Weird, huh?

Wait. What?
Pineapple plants look a bit like a pineapple buried in the ground but the fruit doesn't grow below the surface - it grows on little spikes that stick up. A pineapple lolly, if you like.

Whaaaa????
A fruit that grows underground? *goes off to do own research*

Ah
The fruit doesn't grow under the surface. It grows on the surface. But you are right, it's not from a tree. You learn something new everyday
