This is a question Old stuff I still know

Our Ginger Fuhrer says that he could still code up a simple game idea in Amstrad Basic, while I'm your man if you ever need to rebuild the suspension on an Austin Allegro (1750 Equipe version). This stuff doesn't leave your mind - tell us about obsolete talents you still have.

Civilisations 2
I am the most skillful player of civ 2 ever. yes i mean the one that came out in 1995, bearing in mind that i was born in 1989. I know off by heart the order in which to research certain technologys how to handle the (supprisingly good for 1995) AI.

I am especially adept at playing the WWII campaign and can now defeat Hitler in about a year by nuking Berlin.

I still play this game now despite the fact it is actually older than most expensive whiskys.

Aaah, classic stuff- still my personal favourite (computer) game ever.

Nukes in the WWII scenario though? I'm calling POIDH.

You have to go straight for Engineering. That way, you can build King Richard's Crusade in your capital straight away, shore up on all of the wonders you can realistically lay your hands on (when you manage to get them all, it is a frabjous day indeed), and then lay waste to... ooh, everyone.

God, I want to play that game again now.

One step away
What you really want comes one step further along the tech tree with Invention - Leonardo's Workshop. Automatic upgrades for all your units until tanks come along. Saves loads of production time/upgrade cost for your entire empire and allows you to blitzkrieg the opposition with an army of top quality units the moment you unlock the requisite technology.

Happy times. I got to the point in Civ II of being able to beat the Deity level (although only occasionally, and with the right starting conditions) and have moved on to Civ IV.
