This is a question Old stuff I still know

Our Ginger Fuhrer says that he could still code up a simple game idea in Amstrad Basic, while I'm your man if you ever need to rebuild the suspension on an Austin Allegro (1750 Equipe version). This stuff doesn't leave your mind - tell us about obsolete talents you still have.

I still know where outside is
and how to exit my bedroom to get there.

I know where the outside is too
I see it from the office window. I miss it so...

Does it involve typing "IDKFA" on the reality keyboard?

(, Tue 5 Jul 2011, 10:57, closed)
IDKFA - I had to look that up.
Then I had to look up Doom.

Then I shook my head with disdain.

Now I think I'll go out and blast some pigeons and bunnies. IN THE REAL WORLD.

Did you live in a world with short days or something?
Or are you just not able to stay up unless it's daylight?
There's plenty of time in the average teenage day to go out and either shoot things or hang with friends getting pissed on the corner, _then_ go in and play games and learn cheat codes.
Another thought occurred, perhaps you're a country dweller -- in which case you were lucky.

I have never owned a games console in my life.
Sun up to sun down was spent outdoors in the countryside in my yoof.
