Morning all
Last night I had one of the best laughs I've had all year. My local does karaeoke on Thursdays, it's a good laugh, those who are shit know they are, so it's just a bit of self deprecating fun.

Last night was no exception, apart from one guy. He'd been glaring at anyone who got up and sang, then sneering as they finished. No-one really gave a shit, he just looked like another drunken dickhead. Eventually, he gets called up to sing, and launches into a track I don't know (I don't know what it was, but it wasn't a Lou Reed track, this is important). He's fucking awful, it's highly entertaining.

He finishes, and steps down from the stage. The DJ says "And there we have it, Lou Reed!" The guy turns round and says "Aw thanks, he's one of my heroes", DJ replies with perfect timing - "It wasn't a compliment, I can't understand a fucking word he says either!"

Had me in hysterics.

What have you heard/seen recently that's had you laugh until you hurt? This is my favourite photo of the year, a Lad's mugshot after swallowing a bag of Cocaine

Alt Q: Favourite album(s) of all time, by anyone you like.

Ooooh yay
Faith No More - The Real Thing
Pantera - Vulgar Display of Power
Tori Amos - Little Earthquakes
Beastie Boys - Ill Communication
CombiChrist - Everybody Hates You
Pendulum - Immersion
Led Zeppelin - Physical Graffiti

And others, probably, that I can't think of right now. Before any wag says it, these are my favourite albums, not things that have made me laugh lately

Vulgar Display is the best album they did, definitely.

Best balls-out hard metal album I've ever heard. Yes, including Master of Puppets
(, Fri 10 Dec 2010, 9:27, Reply)
I saw Master Of Puppets played in it's entirety in 2005
Fucking incredible. Self titled is still my favourite album by them though.

First album I heard, still love it

I'm appalled that you picked The Real Thing
I prefer Album Of The Year and We Care A Lot over that. And Angeldust and King For A Day, Fool For A Lifetime obviously. It's a little better than Introduce Yourself I suppose.

Rahter boringly, the thing that made laugh most recently were old photographs. Particularly my girlfriend's hairstyles of the 80s.
I think the rest of the world should view this as an indictment and try harder to be funny.

A great album that I always treturn to and encourage others to listen to is Gladsome Humour and Blue By Martin Stephenson and The Daintees. Well rounded songs with good lyrics.

Oh and sorry about thre above thread but yours wasbn't here when I started typing. However I think people should have the mental capacity to cope with two wholly different threads.

I dunno about laughing
but I made Chimichurri sauce yesterday and managed to touch my nose and rub my eye even after washing my hands and it still burned like fuck. It took another scrub (and I pre-rinsed my hands in milk just to make sure) before I dared go for a wizz.

Compilations albums are a real cop out, I know.
But anyone unfamiliar with The Go-Betweens should get their 1978 - 1990 album.
