Isle of Wight
1970 and it went downhill from there?

Not a bit of it.
The free festivals of the 80s were absolutely fucking incredible. And the travellers' field outside Glastonbury (when they still had such a thing) was wonderful. Seeing Hawkwind at 6am as the sun rose is one of my fondest, if somewhat rose/acid-tinted memories of that magical era.

The best festival I ever went to
was the Treworgey Tree Fayre 1989.

It was possibly the best weekend of my life.

One of my oldest pals
is now married to Emily Eavis. Shame I've no desire whatsoever to attend ever again. Although maybe when my kid's a bit older I could take her.

Did Mick Jagger really get arrested for lycanthropy at that festival
or am I confusing this with another timeline?
