I purchased a box of ale before heading out to someone's house.
It was shortly after obtaining my purchase that I found out, via the medium of the telephone, that our hosts hadn't actually managed to invite many people, and so there would be precisely five people there, myself included. I was a little worried, therefore, that bringing a case of beer might look a little inappropriate. Undeterred, I decided the most sensible thing to do would be to drink as much of the case as possible. To say that this resulted in a bit of a thick head this morning would be somewhat of an understatement. Happy new year all.
