I've been up since half five, I saw Venus sparkling in the sky as I walked to work in the freezing wind, the sunlight was just starting to peek over the treetops down the avenue into town.
Sometimes I think that this is the perfect time of day: everyone else is asleep, the roads are quiet, my earphones fill me with peace and rhythm, birds are slowly waking and talking to each other about what they'll have for breakfast. As I sit at my desk and the sun comes up and shines off the wall opposite my window, I reflect on the reason why people do it: blind fucking desperation for money.
