it's rent
so it falls due "whether demanded or not". but they are saying the relevant date is when payment is received, not when the "supply" (here the supply of premises) was made.

i don't think this is right but i am not a tax lawyer. argh. i hate tax. i hate paying it and i hate dealing with it.

I'm pretty sure it's when the payment was due originally and not when they decided to pay it.
