see that's crazy to me, they were about 10 years older than me, but as you said I would've thought early thirties at least
also, can you imagine the total chaos it would be if oil production stopped? I've never actually thought about it until now, it would be very very bad.

pretty much everything is oil based in some way
as a species, that's a pretty narrow and finite thing to base our lives on

It's going to happen.
At our current rate of consumption we have about 30 years of oil left.

There may be undiscovered fields but it's unlikely they'd yield much.
