You don't have to come if you don't want too, I've never meet you (I think), so I won't be terribly bothered*, and your misses seems like she would be good company....
.... It'll be lovely for the two of us to get to know each other, esspecially if you put in a good word for me. Worst comes to it, she'll know the grass is greener on her own side.

* No offence or anything, it's just I ain't meet you, I'm sure you're a nice guy, and once I got to know you we could be best mates, but in the mean time while I don't know you, I'm not bothered by going on holiday with you... in the same way I'm not bothered by going on holiday with anyone I haven't meet.
