Longest awake without any sleep at all, 48-50 hours. (I worked for an oil company in the 1980's boom and we were on call 24 hrs a day, 7 days a week. It was crazy. I commony was up for two days at a go).

A lot of nights when waiting for a gas well to come in I was able to get an hour or two "nap" in my company truck and sometimes I would be going for three days like this. It was nuts and unhealthy as hell. we all chain smoked and drank gallons of coffee.

Been home a while, I leave for CA the 31st. Should be traveling about a week a month this year.
Way too much. Hotels (even good ones) suck.
