They do manual labouringbecause none of them go to school so they can't get jobs that involve being able to read or write.

I saw a documentaryon travellers in Ireland once. The level of disease because they don't trust outside doctors, child abuse and illiteracy was actually shocking.
It's something that has to be carefully considered though. You can't kick people out of their homes
