I think I'm having LASIK, where they make the flap rather than scraping the cells off
Mummybadger is coming to the big City to be my guide, although she has no sence of direction so that may not work out well!

and HOLY FUCK that sounds gross and painful and wrong on all levels

i had lasik
it's absolutely painless. have something in your pocket that you can squeeze if you get a bit tense.

it's actually 12 years since i had it, and my eyes are now -1, but they were -5 before, and they were perfect for the first 7 years, until i started the late nights and tiny scripts of a lawyer. if i had a different job involving less computers and leases, i am sure they would still be 20/20. as it is, i never use my glasses if i go out at night or on the beach etc.

I read that as go out at night on the beach
and wondered if you'd had your own private one installed somewhere.

I'm most looking forward to my glasses not steaming up when I open the oven
