Does it have sharks?

(, Wed 9 Feb 2011, 21:56, 1 reply, 15 years ago)
Only Wobegongs, and they're harmless.
the things you need to watch out for are stingrays - they lie in the shallows in the warm water. There's a big daddy one that's about 5 ft wide and just as long.

Is it fair to say that wobbegong sharks are a bit pathetic?

You could say they're the Baldmonkey of the shark world.

I was hoping they'd be a bit like these

yeah they're very very harmless.
they're a lot smaller then other sharks (about a metre generally), and they tend to just keep to themselves.

however, if you go out past the reef (about 150 yards out in the water), then you need to be careful - cos the sea floor drops and there are the good old Great Whites.
