I watched the screen adaptation of Toast when it was on the tellybox.Is the book good?

It's not the best book I've read, but I have enjoyed it mostly. He leaves out quite a lot in the book, eg, they'll be a chapter that'll end with something horrific happening, but the horrific thing would only take up at most two sentances.I really really enjoyed the film, there is a lot in the film that isn't mentioned in the book and visa-versa.
