well suppose it's a quiet late-evening at your local
not that quiet late-evenings at local pubs are serving me well at the moment (see above); you're right - better off spending £30, travelling and drinking properly somewhere good but less often I'm thinking

I'm lucky to have a cracking local really
It's a rock pub, but no-one gives a shit what you're wearing in there, you'll see chavs and goths playing pool together, it's ace.

Sadly, it's also £3 a pint!
