Yeah, was at my mate's last night and her living room was COLD.
Lovely flat but chilly, so me and my homez Tigs have all the heat on full.

Me also.
But I have wine to warm my cockles too.
(, Wed 9 Mar 2011, 19:20, Reply)
I drank wine and port yesterday.
Better lay off today.

I love port and lemon.
My dad used to let me have a snifter when I was a young whippersnapper.

I have my grandad's last bottle of port.
I'll be dead sad when it's gone. They thought I should have it because me and grandad used to go AWOL and drink port and smoke roll-ups in smelly pubs.

I miss my paternal Grandad even though he died a long time ago.
He used to do little drawings for me and gave me sweets from his secret stash. His bed was in the living room because he had problems climbing the stairs. He even had a chamber pot under the bed for nightime piddles.

Yeah this was my dad's dad.
Didn't see him as much as I saw my mum's folks, but the older I got, the more good times we had. We both liked musicals, he told me about his travels at sea and the women he just about turned down for my nana.
They're both gone now, but my mum's parents are still about and not that old.

My mum's parents are evil.
My grandad, (not by blood), isn't too bad but my grandma is virtually cut out from the family.
(, Wed 9 Mar 2011, 19:43, Reply)
My maternal grandad isn't my biological grandad.
He's a cunt but he's always been alright to me. Me and the baby are the only ones he's been mostly ok with.
Nana's a bit manipulative and she didn't do the best for my mum, but on the whole and compared to all the other nanas where I'm from I think she's gold.

My dad's parents never had much money but loads of love and praise for us.
My mum's parents were the total opposite. Never happy with us and never a positve word to say. Loads of Chrismas presents though which I could have lived without.

my dad's dad
is never happy with me and never a positive word to say. And he's a tight old bastard so no big xmas presents either.
(, Wed 9 Mar 2011, 19:53, Reply)
I have no grandparents
but secretly when my mother talks about her mum, I'm a bit glad. I don't think I'd have liked her
(, Wed 9 Mar 2011, 19:56, Reply)
Kind, loving and caring grandparents can be a blessing to anyone.
My dad's parents were AWESOME!!
(, Wed 9 Mar 2011, 19:59, Reply)
I don't mind not having them
but it does give me an anxious feeling some times when I realised both my parents were orphans by the age of 18. I've already had four extra years by that reckoning :(
(, Wed 9 Mar 2011, 20:03, Reply)
Ooo! not nice : (
Why did they die so young?
(, Wed 9 Mar 2011, 20:04, Reply)
Maternal grandfather
died when my mum was two, car accident. Maternal grandmother when my mum was 19 (not 18 oops) of cancer. Paternal grandfather died when my dad was 11, not sure what of, and paternal grandmother died of cancer when he was 17 I think (she worked as a radiation nurse before shielding properly kicked in.)
(, Wed 9 Mar 2011, 20:09, Reply)
That's crap!
But then again I guess you don't miss what you never had.
(, Wed 9 Mar 2011, 20:13, Reply)
This is true
how are you Blousie?
(, Wed 9 Mar 2011, 20:19, Reply)
I'm good.
Did well at the gym and now have wine.

How are you? How is study going?
(, Wed 9 Mar 2011, 20:21, Reply)
The work is shit
apart from that I'm okay thanks :) though thinking about dinner last night is making me hungry now
(, Wed 9 Mar 2011, 20:23, Reply)
Then eat. It's 8.30 now.
I try not to eat too late......because then I don't have time for supper : )
(, Wed 9 Mar 2011, 20:27, Reply)
Eating means shopping :)

(, Wed 9 Mar 2011, 20:28, Reply)
My grandad's all of those things except with me.
Think he's making up for being a git to his own kids.
Don't get me wrong, if I borrow so much as £1, he wants it back yesterday.
