You do know how large loads are transported right? They drive behind a van with a flashing light and sign indicating that they are leading an abnormal load so that everyone knows.

I was quite clearly implying that I was the abnormal wide load and that I required an escort van so that other traffic was aware of my presence.

there are two possibilities here
either Al falls for it because he believes you have the capacity for that much stupidity.

or you actually don't get stuff like that and pretend like you do.

In this instance the wind up would be pointless so I am going with the latter.
