I'll be honest, I've not had a great weekend. I'm stuck in the middle of an argument between friends, and while I completely agree with one of them, it would be hypocritical to take sides. However, I've got this to calm me down, a nice few glasses of cold cider to end the weekend.

However, something very odd has happened to me. A girl I really liked has just got a new boyfriend, and when I said I was happy for her, I actually was. Any other time, I'd be bitter and pissed off. Is this what growing up feels like?

Meh, just make it clear to both parties
that you will not and have no interest in taking sides. And then hopefully they'll try and leave you out of it.
