meh
I'd love to get back into it, but I really couldn't be arsed with the paperwork and procedures.

I'm thinking I should just create worksheets. I was always good at worksheets and displays.

So when do get to go back to the coal face?

I meant back in the classroom
it's a turn of phrase us old people use for hard work.

Oh sorry
2nd week of may doing KS2 this time. WHich I am looking forward to, I might switch from foundation.

I think you can challenge them a lot more
and I was surprised, after coming from KS3/4, just how eager they are to learn new things. apart from the SATS, my favourite year would be 4-6

I think I agree completely
I just found foundation a little frustrating to be honest. I don't think it works.

aww:(
thing is, basically, the college get a day without paying us all, then we end up doing the work a different day anyway - I'm probably going to have to put on an extra class for one group :( Doesn't feel like winning

At least they make the effort to think of new exciting ways to screw us over,
in the old days they just robbed you and laughed about it, the pretense of care is, at least, slightly welcome...

yeah, our college did a great one this year
now all every one hour lesson is 55 minutes. Doesn't sound like much, so it sounds shitty if we complain. What it means in reality is 2 more lessons (and the attendant work) each week for free. Students get screwed over and so do we.
