Oh come on.It's rubbish and has been since the fucking 60s or whenever it started. It's like a bad American soap opera but in space - there's always some 'hidden' 'thought-provoking' message that's about as subtle as being walloped in the face by a brieze block and about as enjoyable.

This might amaze youbut a TV programme doesn't have to be subtle, thought-provoking, loaded with symbolism and real-world parallels or even especially well-acted to be ENTERTAINING. For some of us simple folk, the prospect of enjoying an hour of TV rather than sneering at its poor production values and listening to Electric Landlady for the thousandth time is quite endearing
