I really want to try the ravioli thing but I don't have a steamer, any other suggestions?

Do you have a rice cooker? Or some sort of metal grid you could put over a pan of boiling water?
They're pretty good, the ravioli thing, but I saw Jamie Oliver do the same thing on the telly a few weeks ago and it made me Sad Face, I thought I had invented that.

I have a flour sifter

That'll do, rest it on top of a pan of boiling water, put the raviloi in there, then put a plate on top.
