I concur
I actually enjoyed the first series, when there was an element of social experiment about it. I also (embarrassing confession time) applied to be on the fourth series, obviously I got nowhere, thank fuck as if I had TWL wouldn't have had me.

Series 5 onwards became an ever-more-ridiculous game of "let's get freaks in a pen and poke them with metaphorical sharp sticks" and the concept was lost. Celebrity Big Brother could potentially have been quite amusing if they'd ever got some actual celebrities - or more specifically, people who were famous as a result of an excess of talent, wit or intelligence.

Day one
All the housemates have taken an instant dislike to Martin from Norwich, and have stolen the contents of his suitcase. Martin has spent most of the day crying in the diary room.

UPDATE
Martin has fled the house on the first day in floods of tears. Surely a new house bullying record.
