Have you read J K Rowling?

(, Thu 7 Apr 2011, 21:48, 1 reply, 15 years ago)
I think I read the first 3 or 4
then just thought I'd wait for the films. Also by that point I worked in the bookshop and had to do all the midnight openings. I pretty much knew what happened in all the books as people told me
(, Thu 7 Apr 2011, 21:52, Reply)
See, I worked in WhSmiths when 5 and 6 came out
I was the only person that volunteered to do the midnight openings, I would work 11pm-2am, go home, read the book cover to cover and be in work again at 12, knackered but smug because I knew what had happened.

God I'm sad.
(, Thu 7 Apr 2011, 21:55, Reply)
sad but loveable
like the rest of us
(, Thu 7 Apr 2011, 21:57, Reply)
hehe
I got to dress up like that Divinity woman and tell fortunes and overact at the crowds. I got paid for this. It was like a larpers dream
(, Thu 7 Apr 2011, 21:57, Reply)
I see a dark figure in yoru future
he is hoplding a fuck-off big scythe...
(, Thu 7 Apr 2011, 22:00, Reply)
I made a Sorting Hat
and wore that all evening, it was in the local paper and everything.

bless!
I went a bit mad and decorated the tills with various things. Unfortunately I went a bit horror, so there was a severed foam arm, a bottle of fake blood, a jar of 'worms' and a jar of eyeballs I made from lyches and food colouring Up2.it/ali/eyeballs_small.jpg
(, Thu 7 Apr 2011, 22:08, Reply)
Cool.

(, Thu 7 Apr 2011, 22:09, Reply)
Haha, they're fucking grim
but cool. I shall bear that in mind for hallowe'en.
(, Thu 7 Apr 2011, 22:10, Reply)
the blood was
treacle, golden syrup, red food colouring and a bit of hot water. Works a treat. The worms jar was food colouring with green apple bootlaces in. JUst for future reference
(, Thu 7 Apr 2011, 22:12, Reply)
Yeah, I made a load of fake blood this hallowe'en just gone
my advice to you is: don't forget about it and leave it in a tupperware container in your car for four months. It won't end well.
That was just water, sugar, red food colouring and cocoa, I think, to make it less pink.
(, Thu 7 Apr 2011, 22:15, Reply)
nice
having treacle in it makes it sticky so you can do good finger prints. I think the forensic department at college use cornflour
(, Thu 7 Apr 2011, 22:17, Reply)
Yeah, there was cornflour in mine to thicken it, now I come to think of it.
I made an awesome zombie.
(, Thu 7 Apr 2011, 22:20, Reply)
You sent me a photo of you as a Zombie.
I confirm your zombie points to be high.
(, Thu 7 Apr 2011, 22:22, Reply)
from what?
I do good zombie make up if I have access to liquid latex, it just hurts taking it all off
(, Thu 7 Apr 2011, 22:23, Reply)
I dressed up as one
nothing fancy like latex etc (I am allergic to it) just makeup. I was a zombie cheerleader. It was epic, as Jeff will attest.
(, Thu 7 Apr 2011, 22:26, Reply)
I'm just surprised you turned up at the wedding bash in the same garb.
*Obvious joke in obvious lols*

sorry.
(, Thu 7 Apr 2011, 22:28, Reply)
Pfft, like you can remember what I was wearing
you massive drunkard.
(, Thu 7 Apr 2011, 22:29, Reply)
1-1

(, Thu 7 Apr 2011, 22:29, Reply)
hehe
you laugh, but one of my mates turned up to my wedding as a zombie in a hooded cloak with a massive scar on his face
(, Thu 7 Apr 2011, 22:30, Reply)
Did you win any other NATIONAL prizes for dressing up?

(, Thu 7 Apr 2011, 22:09, Reply)
Not on that occasion.

(, Thu 7 Apr 2011, 22:10, Reply)
But you're a WINNER in the eyes of some.

(, Thu 7 Apr 2011, 22:13, Reply)
