tell you something: i quite like doing taxes, makes me feel smart
ask you something:
do you have a favorite pen? describe it.
is it blue or black ink?
do you still write letters?
if so, do you use stationary?
do you seal the envelope?
(, Wed 20 Apr 2011, 13:31, 6 replies, latest was 15 years ago)
I prefer stationery. It moves a bit faster.

is this a joke?
can you answer them all please?

A finer pen I've yet to own.

You've clearly never had a Berol Notewriter.

Berol Notewriter. crayon clutched in your fist while you stab at the colouring book with your tongue sticking out the side of your mouth, and your brow and forehead creased in concentration.

hahaha

I only 'own' pens while I use them
it's like a zen/transitory use-orientated ownership thing.

The student I explained this to in an exam who asked "do you have a pen" probably didn't want that answer. especially when it went on for some time

I have a Parker biro that I've been using since I did my GCSEs
which was 13 years ago. Great pen. I found it somewhere, and had to replace part of it with a bit off another one I found somewhere because, despite it being made of metal, I chewed a round part of it until it was square.

interesting eh?

I use a peacock feather quill, vellum instead of paper, and negro blood instead of ink. .
This is because I am a colossal wankstain.

I write letters occasionally but mainly just after Xmas to thank gift-givers. I do indeed use stationery as I have found merely writing one's message on the table does not have the desired effect.

If you knew how dodgy UK postmen were you'd not have bothered with the last Q.

Our local pub-quizmaster is a postie
and possess an almost encyclopaedic knowledge of shitey daytime TV.

I conclude that he does his "day's" work in about 15 minutes before returning to his midden and taking root in front of the box.

And if he spent a further 15 minutes a day on personal grooming I'd be fucking amazed.

postman is yet another of the temp jobs I applied for and didn't even hear back about
to add to the list of grave digger and porn photoshopper.

I use bic black biros at home and at work.
Best all-day-writing pen in existence. They last five or six days at work.

my parker pen has last approximately 13 years on 4 refills
if I'd paid for it then it would be excellent value for money.

50p a pack of ten at Tesco on offer a while back.
Oh look I've died of shitness.

so....
how 'bout those waterproof trousers?
(, Wed 20 Apr 2011, 13:57, Reply)
Where DOES that come from?
Cave Duck appears to have said it a lot, before Monty jumped on it.
(, Wed 20 Apr 2011, 14:01, Reply)
don't know about that
me and Al were discussing the merits of waterproof trousers and got (rightly) mocked for doing so. By Monty I thought
(, Wed 20 Apr 2011, 14:06, Reply)
Yeah, Monty is its main proponent.
