I remembered recently why I have the oddrecurring dream about scary lifts that don't stop where they are meant to and take you to the wrong floor, given that I'm not scared of lifts in real life. I rewatched Brazil the other day. I think it's from a scene in that

The other dayI almost remembered something about a recurring nightmare I have had since being a small child. Then it was gone again. I've not had this dream in quite a few years, but I remember it being utterly terrifying.
I suspect some kind of repressed trauma in my childhood.
