I don't have a teevee, I have a laptop and I'll sometimes watch something until I feel tired then turn it off and sleep
but usually I'll turn it off when I'm ready and read for a bit before I fall asleep. This is starting to work wonders now.

Because they look and smell completely different?
I've had weed that was almost an off-white green, dark red (from South Africa), deep, forest green, you fucking name it - and the aromas and flavours - not to mention the effects - can be as different, too.
