me too. I remember at my recital when I was 7, I was at the BACK.
I was crushed.

And the teacher would tell me "it's better not to move, darling, than moving like that" with a big smile, before the function.

when I was doing GCSE music
our teacher told us that we had to join the choir. Went to one practice and the teacher was all "yeah, you don't need to be in the choir"
