Evening QC
Don't think guinea pigs learn their names - we had quite a few when we were kids and they were pleasant but not too bright.

I picked my cats up from the cattery two hours ago and they've not stopped fussing over me since. It's nice to feel appreciated.

awww
I once had a hamster who learned his name, that was weird and unexpected

We had hamsters too and they were even thicker
The dogs are still at my sister's house and when I collect them tomorrow I'll be greeted like a long lost hero - I've only been away since Friday.

their density is part of their charm
aww, pets are awesome, people are sometimes shit, but pets are always happy when you get home. It's good to feel wanted...unless you are a criminal

As I get older I get more misanthropic
I've missed my pets more than my friends this weekend.

Sadly the cats are in full moult mode at the moment and they keep jumping around me so I'm now covered in kitty fur.
