I was about 2, playing happily in the garden, sunlight bouncing off my hairGrandma turns to her daughter in law (my mother) and says "I'm dreadfully sorry, but I think you might have had a ginger child."

I was more blonde than anythingand have slowly darkened. Now I'm just dark brown.

I was properly blonde until I cut my long hair off about 10 years agoit's been nondescript brown since then and is getting blonder again now as it gets longer.
