I read the whole thing
it's interesting but I'm not sure if it's true. She's lied about more important things than how she was treated on a tv show.
Plus I saw an episode once and it was dire beyond all belief. Definitely not cutting edge comedy.

I enjoyed the article..
..but definitely got the impression that there was another side of the story to hear. I watched Roseanne at the time and it was a great mix of humour and working class struggles (like an Americanised Ken Loach drama with extra laugh track gags). The last season was an absolute train wreck, even with the 'Bobby coming out of the shower' style revelation in the last episode.
