Rattan storage chest/coffee table, about four hours ago.
Alt: salt beef, English mustard, finely sliced gherkins

that is an excellent choice of sandwich
good in a bagel.
(, Tue 24 May 2011, 14:19, Reply)
I don't get bagls, they feel like slightly stale chewy bread to me!

(, Tue 24 May 2011, 14:20, Reply)
you haven't eaten good bagels then

(, Tue 24 May 2011, 14:21, Reply)
This may be true, I've only had supermarket ones
Sourdough or Granary or White bloomer are the bread choices of championship sandwiches
(, Tue 24 May 2011, 14:22, Reply)
supermarket ones are shit generally.
if you lightly toast them it improves the texture no end.

I agree, but would also like to add tiger bread in there.
(, Tue 24 May 2011, 14:24, Reply)
I don't mind them toasted , but that feels like cheating
There is not enough tiger bread in the world
(, Tue 24 May 2011, 14:25, Reply)
I think it's Asda that does salt and pepper tiger bread
it's outrageously good
(, Tue 24 May 2011, 14:29, Reply)
That's neat.

(, Tue 24 May 2011, 14:30, Reply)
Mud lols.

(, Tue 24 May 2011, 14:32, Reply)
Thank God for you, Jeff.

(, Tue 24 May 2011, 14:36, Reply)
That's nice.

It's one of the best singles of the 70s I reckon.

(, Tue 24 May 2011, 14:50, Reply)
my parents have a 7" of it I think
it's a good one.

what is your view of the song Rawhide, as performed by the Blues Brothers?
(, Tue 24 May 2011, 14:53, Reply)
Supermarket beigels are shite.
Stodgy, chewy and horrible. Brick Lane's 'Beigel Bake' are the best I've had. They don't even mind my screaming 'YOU KILLED JESUS' every time I go in there.
(, Tue 24 May 2011, 14:28, Reply)
baguettes and bagels in Cardiff had some sensational jumbo bagels
I miss cardiff sandwich shops.
(, Tue 24 May 2011, 14:29, Reply)
I miss Cardiff. Not been in some years, but I do like that city.
Even if it is chock-full of Welshies.
(, Tue 24 May 2011, 14:29, Reply)
it's changed quite a lot
Queen St, the pedestrian one is mostly pound shops and crap clothes shops since they opened the new shopping centre bit between that street and the CIA.
(, Tue 24 May 2011, 14:37, Reply)
That's a shame.

(, Tue 24 May 2011, 14:39, Reply)
Not really, Wales is a wart of the side of England

(, Tue 24 May 2011, 14:39, Reply)
it is in a way
but the new development has been done very well, and they've knocked down a horrible shitty car park and turned it into a bit of park land. Some quite cool sculpture around the place as well.

Cardiff: the traditional epicentre of quality breads...
I have to go there in a week or so, where shall i buy a sandwich from?
(, Tue 24 May 2011, 14:31, Reply)
Go into any bakery and shout
'give us a fuckin' saaandwich boyo, there's fuckin' lovely' and they will take you to their hearts with joy and affection. I promise.
(, Tue 24 May 2011, 14:33, Reply)
As my subordinates I should think so
I may also go to Bridgend and buy some rope
(, Tue 24 May 2011, 14:35, Reply)
There's a sandwich shop near where Richmond Road meets Newport Road
with a pun name. Can't remember what it is, but that one is good.

Baguettes and Bagels (or Baguettes and Bagels 2) does a good line of choose your own filling. I think one of those is on Woodville Road.
(, Tue 24 May 2011, 14:33, Reply)
Have you heard of Subway before? They do nice sandwiches.

(, Tue 24 May 2011, 14:52, Reply)
I used to have to walk past one of the Cardiff Subways every morning on my way to my department
it smelled so gross.
