But in my experience, "Everyone fucking well should love squid but some people are idiots" would be more apt

Squid is vastly underrated.
But I'm a fan of all forms of seafood, even the frozen stuff we get here. I expect if I ever get to eat freshly caught and cooked seafood again, my trousers will explode in delight.
