Had to be done
I was losing sensation in my left hand and didn't have full control of my left pinkie (which is serious shit for a guitarist!). Plus there was constant pain in my left upper arm and my whole right arm. There's only so many meds they can give you - and believe me I tried thenm all! The surgeon told me that 'A pinched nerve is a nerve that's being slowly killed' so, rather than become slowly paralysed I took the surgical option. Glad I did too!
Revel in your youth and vigour while you can Poppet, old father time's a sneaky bastard. I still don't believe I'm 51 but my body's constantly reminding me I'm not 17 any more :)

That's probably the better option to have taken.
My hip is still giving me grief after my car accident, but it's much better now than it was. I hope your arms get better.

Are they giving you anything for it?
If you're still studying biomechanics maybe you'll come up with your own cure!
As an aside, if human/machine interfaces are your thing, look up Kevin Warwick, a professor at Reading Uni (Cyborg 2.0). He had connectors implanted into his arm so he could control a cybernetic arm with force-feedback. The guy who did the implants for him did my neck!

it's only stiff, not actually bad anymore.
It's only because I'm not well that it's giving me trouble. And I'm not doing biomechanics - I'm doing biomedical science. Christ I wouldn't do biomechanics, that'd confuse me too much.
