Don't fucking mention Blur.
They cunt me the fuck off.
(, Fri 24 Jun 2011, 23:35, 2 replies, latest was 13 years ago)
How inconsiderate of them

(, Fri 24 Jun 2011, 23:36, Reply)
Any britpop that you do like PD?

(, Fri 24 Jun 2011, 23:38, Reply)
Are Jesus Jones considered britpop?
Surely everyone of sound mind likes Jesus Jones
(, Fri 24 Jun 2011, 23:39, Reply)
Doubt
it
(, Fri 24 Jun 2011, 23:42, Reply)
Well I thought my comment was clever.

(, Fri 24 Jun 2011, 23:51, Reply)
Sorry Jeff, it's been a while
I only ever bought the Liquidizer album. Well played.
(, Fri 24 Jun 2011, 23:58, Reply)
I saw Jesus Jones once.
They were surprisingly good. Although the keyboard player used an ironing board as his keyboard stand.

Which was really fucking bent.
(, Sat 25 Jun 2011, 0:00, Reply)
Depends how you define 'Britpop'
I love the Auteurs, Primal Scream, Teenage Fanclub and like two Oasis songs. Actually, just the one.
(, Fri 24 Jun 2011, 23:44, Reply)
Primal Scream are on BBC2 right this minute
In case you're not watching it.
(, Fri 24 Jun 2011, 23:45, Reply)
Ooh ta.

(, Fri 24 Jun 2011, 23:46, Reply)
They're only showing two songs from today
Although Scream played screamadelica in its entirety. You might be able to find the whole thing either on the red button or on the BBC website.
(, Fri 24 Jun 2011, 23:48, Reply)
They are playing it in the wrong order.
Mani joining the primals was the best transfer ever.
(, Fri 24 Jun 2011, 23:50, Reply)
With this just being highlights, I'm not sure what order they played the gig in.
Mani would be a useful addition to most bands. The boy got riddim.
(, Fri 24 Jun 2011, 23:53, Reply)
On the screamadelica tour they are not playing it in order.
they do the comedown bit in the middle, not at the end.
(, Fri 24 Jun 2011, 23:54, Reply)
In someways that's good.
It keeps you interested, and it stops everyone going to the bar at the same time, should there be one track that is less popular than the others.
(, Fri 24 Jun 2011, 23:56, Reply)
It's for pacing reasons.
Screamadelica is meant to be like a night out on great pills- starts on a high goes trippy, then the comedown suite from Damaged right through to Shine Like Stars. They fuck with the order so they can start with Movin' on Up and finish with Loaded.
(, Fri 24 Jun 2011, 23:59, Reply)
Did they play anything else in additon to the track from Screamadelica?
I've seen a few bands recently (Carter USM and Wonderstuff) who both had nights playing 'classic' albums. Both threw in a few other hits as well to pad the set out.
(, Sat 25 Jun 2011, 0:02, Reply)
They encore with the single version of Come Together

(, Sat 25 Jun 2011, 0:57, Reply)
alright Jeff
seen latest W****** R*** there is a surprise twist
(, Fri 24 Jun 2011, 23:47, Reply)
wanking romans?

(, Fri 24 Jun 2011, 23:48, Reply)
Had enough of those in my degree

(, Fri 24 Jun 2011, 23:49, Reply)
I too watch W****** R***
Last night.

A twist indeed. A reckon Scout is a feamle Monty.
(, Fri 24 Jun 2011, 23:49, Reply)
and Eleanor and Tom was a surprise
I was shocked at Karen suspending Chris.
(, Fri 24 Jun 2011, 23:49, Reply)
Nah, I'm not surprised about Tom.
It happens every series. He meets someone unsuitable.

I was delighted to see just how quickly Denzil got over the loss of his sister, there is hope for all of us. Likewise, Finn. Last week, mourning a great loss, this week - he scored two goals in a kickabout!
(, Fri 24 Jun 2011, 23:51, Reply)
haha true
it's obvious Karen will find out about her
(, Fri 24 Jun 2011, 23:53, Reply)
Oh yeah, that is bound to happen.
Likewise, there is more mileage in Karen and Rob. The stress of Aiden's behaviour will bring them back together.
(, Fri 24 Jun 2011, 23:55, Reply)
I was surprised he got so little punishment
for telling people about Jess. I also think it's rather nasty that they've made the two main girls who are going to university on the show, drop out.
(, Fri 24 Jun 2011, 23:56, Reply)
Who knows what will happen next week though...
Maybe one of them will be back for retakes?
(, Fri 24 Jun 2011, 23:58, Reply)
Looks like Vicki is going to lose the baby

(, Sat 25 Jun 2011, 0:04, Reply)
Exactly.
But how will Aiden react? Will he have decided to step up to the plate before this happens, or will he be delighed?
(, Sat 25 Jun 2011, 0:05, Reply)
I'm interested to find out
watched anything else good recently?
(, Sat 25 Jun 2011, 0:08, Reply)
I've rewatched some old favourites, like Minder.
But I'm at a loss as to what to watch next. Any suggestions?
(, Sat 25 Jun 2011, 0:10, Reply)
The Kids behind Bars thing on bbciplayer is quite interesting
I'm buying some DVDs of TV shows atm
(, Sat 25 Jun 2011, 0:11, Reply)
I've been watching that.
The traveller girl last night was fucking dangerous.

I just don't know where they get the language/behaviour from though.
(, Sat 25 Jun 2011, 0:14, Reply)
Get the house of cards trilogy.
You'll LOVE IT.
(, Sat 25 Jun 2011, 0:15, Reply)
Downton Abbey is amazing.
it's only just come out here. Really fantastic show.
(, Sat 25 Jun 2011, 0:10, Reply)
Morning/Evening/Night Poppet.

(, Sat 25 Jun 2011, 0:15, Reply)
Morning.
How's things?
(, Sat 25 Jun 2011, 0:26, Reply)
I'm shattered.
But really restless. If I go to bed now, I won't sleep.

I hate it when this happens, 'cos if I don't get to sleep I get all wound up and distressed and then wake up more tired than when I went to bed.

Yourself?
(, Sat 25 Jun 2011, 0:28, Reply)
I'm awake.
I'm considering going for a walk because it's so sunny out, although I have a sneaking suspicion that my lazy nature will win out and I'll merely sit in the sun reading.

Have a really strong painkiller or something to knock yourself out?
(, Sat 25 Jun 2011, 0:43, Reply)
I have beer.
It'll work soon enough.
(, Sat 25 Jun 2011, 0:45, Reply)
I like one Oasis song too
It might be the same one. There's really no way of telling.
(, Fri 24 Jun 2011, 23:47, Reply)
Slide Away?

(, Fri 24 Jun 2011, 23:48, Reply)
No, I'm a sucker for Champagne Supernova
One of my oldest friends got married recently and he, I and a group of old friends were stood in a circle with our arms around each other bellowing out that song at the wake reception and it was a pretty magical moment for us all.
(, Fri 24 Jun 2011, 23:55, Reply)
I think my favourite Oasis song is Masterplan.

(, Fri 24 Jun 2011, 23:49, Reply)
No, but that's my favourite German power metal band
*masterplan fives*
(, Fri 24 Jun 2011, 23:51, Reply)
I demand you acknowledge my clever Jesus Jones comment.
It's ^ up there.
(, Fri 24 Jun 2011, 23:53, Reply)
