The Clash are just painfully dull and pretentious. Whether or not you like bands that I like will make no difference to Joe Strummers inability to write non pretentious rubbish

Well, this is evidently your opinion.
mine, however differs, there's little more subjective than music taste, so this argument, like all others only more so, is unwinable. If you want to talk music I don't mind but if it's just a string of "The Clash are shit" comments I can't be arsed. At least Boyce actually likes some stuff and most of what he likes is actually pretty good.
