I have of late, wherefore I know not, regained my girth
I need to shave some inches from my waist, what's the best course of action?

Alt: What was the first band you got into? Are you still into them or are you embarrassed about it?

Alt Alt: Is it possible to appear sober when you're in your cups?

eat less
Move around more.

If indeed that is your real waist.

I dunno like, but I trust you so I'll give it a go

(, Fri 1 Jul 2011, 22:48, Reply)
Al's nailed it.
Walk more. Get an OS map of your locality and explore footpaths between towns and villages. And massively cut back on anything liquid but water and fruit juice. I lost heaps that way. Admittedly, I've put much of it back on again, but I'm shit.

Five Star and Paul Simon.
I loved their stuff and one of my parents' friends gave me a copy of the Five Star album on one side of a cassette and Graceland on the other. Best birthday present in memory.
(, Fri 1 Jul 2011, 22:48, Reply)
I'm not sure what you mean by that last question.

(, Fri 1 Jul 2011, 22:49, Reply)
Can you be drunk without appearing drunk?

(, Fri 1 Jul 2011, 22:51, Reply)
Do I appear drunk now?

(, Fri 1 Jul 2011, 22:54, Reply)
Over the internet isn't quite the same as in person
but no.
(, Fri 1 Jul 2011, 23:01, Reply)
I'm not sure if that's conclusive.
Would I rather be drunk or wrong on the internet?
(, Fri 1 Jul 2011, 23:02, Reply)
I suspect drunk is more fun.

(, Fri 1 Jul 2011, 23:04, Reply)
get a job doing furniture removals over the summer
the weight will fall off you.

alt: Dead Kennedys. I don't listen to them anymore but I'm not in the least embarrassed about it. They have a few fun tracks but in hindsight there was a lot of stuff that didn't hit the mark.

altalt: not really. If I try to appear sober when I'm not I think I sway more.
(, Fri 1 Jul 2011, 22:50, Reply)
Start running, if you can
I found that the weight fell off. Keep an eye on what you eat and cut back on the booze and it should be relatively easy.

Green Day was the first band I got in to in a big way, I was a proper teenage fangirl. A bit shameful, but it could have been worse. I have been deeply unimpressed with everything post-2000 though.

Yes. Apparently I do this quite well.
(, Fri 1 Jul 2011, 22:51, Reply)
The first band I got into was 'The Smiths'
As for the best course of action regarding you waist, get a motor neurone disease, I lost about 4 stone.
(, Fri 1 Jul 2011, 23:00, Reply)
And gained a pimped-out wheelchair.
I'm impressed that "pimped" is part of the Chrome spellcheck.
(, Fri 1 Jul 2011, 23:02, Reply)
Sadly I don't need either a wheel chair or a speak 'n spell.
Which leaves me fucked for fancy-dress parties. Otherwise I'd be quids in.
(, Fri 1 Jul 2011, 23:11, Reply)
Motor neurone?
I thought you had hyperthyroidism?
(, Fri 1 Jul 2011, 23:05, Reply)
Yeah, there is that. Although the last specialist I spoke to told me it was a motor neurone disease, and that sounds far more serious!
I'm cashing in on that!
(, Fri 1 Jul 2011, 23:11, Reply)
Erm, that's considerably more worrying!
you might want to go back and check what the hell he was on about. Motor neurone disease, or a form thereof, is what Stephen Hawking has...
(, Fri 1 Jul 2011, 23:14, Reply)
Yeah. Fuckin' brilliant innit.
You wait. Give it 6 months and I'll unlock the secrets of the universe!

(But yes, I have been told I have a motor neurone disease).
(, Fri 1 Jul 2011, 23:15, Reply)
Second opinion?

(, Fri 1 Jul 2011, 23:18, Reply)
If my secrets of the universe aren't enough for you, then try that mong Hawking.
*Case rested*
(, Fri 1 Jul 2011, 23:25, Reply)
and you think maybe they'd do more than just
mention it in passing
(, Fri 1 Jul 2011, 23:16, Reply)
Treatment remains the same.
Makes not a jot of difference what they call it.
(, Fri 1 Jul 2011, 23:18, Reply)
really?

(, Fri 1 Jul 2011, 23:19, Reply)
Arr!

(, Fri 1 Jul 2011, 23:25, Reply)
I believe one or both of you has the wrong end of the stick
treatment for motor neurone and hyperthyroidism would not be the same.
(, Fri 1 Jul 2011, 23:19, Reply)
I can only go one what I've been told.
And that my 'branch' of thyroidism is a motor neurone jobby.
(, Fri 1 Jul 2011, 23:26, Reply)
I didn't think there was any relation between the two things, to be honest
motor neurone is nerves and hyperthyroidism is hormonal...the two things don't really interact.
(, Fri 1 Jul 2011, 23:31, Reply)
repetitive vomiting
alt: Queen. Kind of. No.

Alt alt. from who's viewpoint?
(, Fri 1 Jul 2011, 23:13, Reply)
or perhaps it was The Beatles
yes, I was about 11 when I was into them
(, Fri 1 Jul 2011, 23:13, Reply)
Bohemian Rhapsody was at number one when I was born.

(, Fri 1 Jul 2011, 23:16, Reply)
Karl Douglas was number 1 when I was born!

well done, little one
(, Fri 1 Jul 2011, 23:33, Reply)
Pfft, aren't you less than 10 years older than me?

(, Fri 1 Jul 2011, 23:34, Reply)
About that yes.

(, Fri 1 Jul 2011, 23:37, Reply)
it was a long
10 years
(, Fri 1 Jul 2011, 23:44, Reply)
What you have to understand, is that me and your mother used to do a lot of drugs back then.

(, Fri 1 Jul 2011, 23:48, Reply)
right
nearly time to sleep in order to not miss my bus tomorrow.

What do I need to remember to take with me?
(, Fri 1 Jul 2011, 23:48, Reply)

a book, and some music to listen to.
(, Fri 1 Jul 2011, 23:48, Reply)

(, Fri 1 Jul 2011, 23:49, Reply)

(, Fri 1 Jul 2011, 23:49, Reply)

(, Fri 1 Jul 2011, 23:50, Reply)

Emergency cider is a good idea though.
