I have of late, wherefore I know not, regained my girth
I need to shave some inches from my waist, what's the best course of action?
Alt: What was the first band you got into? Are you still into them or are you embarrassed about it?
Alt Alt: Is it possible to appear sober when you're in your cups?

Move around more.
If indeed that is your real waist.

Al's nailed it.
Walk more. Get an OS map of your locality and explore footpaths between towns and villages. And massively cut back on anything liquid but water and fruit juice. I lost heaps that way. Admittedly, I've put much of it back on again, but I'm shit.

Five Star and Paul Simon.
I loved their stuff and one of my parents' friends gave me a copy of the Five Star album on one side of a cassette and Graceland on the other. Best birthday present in memory.

the weight will fall off you.
alt: Dead Kennedys. I don't listen to them anymore but I'm not in the least embarrassed about it. They have a few fun tracks but in hindsight there was a lot of stuff that didn't hit the mark.
altalt: not really. If I try to appear sober when I'm not I think I sway more.

Start running, if you can
I found that the weight fell off. Keep an eye on what you eat and cut back on the booze and it should be relatively easy.
Green Day was the first band I got in to in a big way, I was a proper teenage fangirl. A bit shameful, but it could have been worse. I have been deeply unimpressed with everything post-2000 though.
Yes. Apparently I do this quite well.

As for the best course of action regarding you waist, get a motor neurone disease, I lost about 4 stone.

And gained a pimped-out wheelchair.
I'm impressed that "pimped" is part of the Chrome spellcheck.

Sadly I don't need either a wheel chair or a speak 'n spell.
Which leaves me fucked for fancy-dress parties. Otherwise I'd be quids in.

Yeah, there is that. Although the last specialist I spoke to told me it was a motor neurone disease, and that sounds far more serious!
I'm cashing in on that!

Erm, that's considerably more worrying!
you might want to go back and check what the hell he was on about. Motor neurone disease, or a form thereof, is what Stephen Hawking has...

I didn't think there was any relation between the two things, to be honest
motor neurone is nerves and hyperthyroidism is hormonal...the two things don't really interact.
