I wish my bike was that cool.

are you a cyclist too then or have the awesome rep of Halford's Finest spread to the wider world?

And my ex bought me an apollo after I'd been looking at Giant and Marin. I now have a Marin Rocksprings but I've also worked my way through a Specialized and a Merlin. I've always had bikes but it's only since I've know PJM that they've been any good!
The Apollo really was evil though and almost put me off cycling for life.

cheap and cheerful is all good but I do wish people would buy something second-hand and do it up a bit rather than spend 100s on BSOs and get a worse ride for the same money.
None of my bikes cost more that £50 originally but all run well because I re-built/modified them that way, and because the were good bikes when new.

Still got it and it's probably worth far, far more now with all the upgrades PJM has put on it! I love it but it's actually too small for me - good for building up my confidence though.
Second hand is definitely the way to go with a first or second bike rather than splurging and discovering it's wrong or you don't like it!

as is building/re-building your own, but that's a steeper learning curve. Mine are all, pretty old, I think the newest is a mid 1980's Dawes.
We should form a B3ta cycling club and all mock each other's bikes

There's quite a few bikers on here. Humpty has a downhill tandem, but he's quite, quite mad :)

I've always thought tandem = relationship death my self. Noel cycles apparently.
don't tell anyone but I quite like Al's bike

but usually by people I'm sleeping with at the time, so I tend to take it as a compliment. :)

Liking Al's gay bike is quite another thing. Next you'll be wearing lycra and rubbing cream into your nether regions.
(, Sun 3 Jul 2011, 23:02, Reply)
I may have a sneaking liking for the bike, but lycra is gay, never mind nether-region-cream.
As far as the feminine side goes I just take it to mean I'm not a total shitcunt and admit to having emotions and liking a bit of a cuddle sometimes, if this is special I despair for the male gender frankly.
