Tate Modern is full of 20th century art which, if properly examined proves to be mostly rather excellent.
It is possible to like or at the very least, appreciate both periods.

as he shifted Greek art from the archaic period which was stylised and more concerned with religion and ritual to the high classical period which, while stylised, is more realistic. Still a set of very strict rules though - no ugly people, for example.
And all the blokes were busting arseholes then. That was their culture.
