Alt: How is Saturday night panning out for you?

it's sunday morning now. I have no idea what I'm doing today. I have a feeling I may be going to see HP 7 part 2 at the cinema with a friend. Thus enbrokening my bank account still further.

Had everything calmed down at Uni now, and are you able to sleep without random parties springing up all over the place?

I'm in a smaller one now and this weekend, only myself and another girl are here. Much quieter. Big plus. :D

Chemistry inflicted redox on me and I had no idea how to do it until I looked at my notes from year 11. Good old High school simplicity. :D

Long term plan, are you still hoping to get a year over the water?
(, Sat 16 Jul 2011, 23:32, Reply)
and I'm a full time student, so to earn that much, I'd have to work full time on top of that. Which is impossible. But I'm coming over in june/july for 3 weeks next year if I can wrangle it.

but I just made another crochet square. That's pretty good. Also it's about all this evening has involved. That and moping about how bored I am.

everything is manic, that's one of the times they'd actually notice. Why can't it be a Friday?
(, Sat 16 Jul 2011, 23:32, Reply)
OK, when is it, maybe I will come down to the pier
(, Sat 16 Jul 2011, 23:35, Reply)
*Not sure, I need someone to tell me!*
I was hoping to take a walk on the pier, have a fish lunch and a couple of pint. Like you, if I don't work, I don't get paid. So I'm hoping it'll coincide with 'the great bash Boyce' without too much inconvenience!

depending on my timetable (and assuming I have one), I'm not sure about London, though, by then I will be stoney broke and will be using all my spare time to write all the schemes of work for the courses they'll spring on me
(, Sat 16 Jul 2011, 23:38, Reply)
Alternatively, I'll happily take you up the promenade.
(, Sat 16 Jul 2011, 23:46, Reply)
Thing is - promenade would be for one day and take a couple of hours to get to - London is further and would require more arranging. I'll see how things are once term starts. Why can't people just arrange stuff for the next 4 weeks? I have time then.

I've been killing the last few hours with an embarrassment of riches (fan-remastered and re-released Tangerine Dream gigs). Köln 1972, London 1975, East Berlin 1980 are my favourites so far.

This was their first big commercial success, released in 1974 (part 1/part 2).

I can safely say I've been on a huge Eliza Doolittle kick lately (probably the exact opposite of TD). LOVE her music.

but in the video for "Pack Up", the double-bassist in her band looks a lot like Charles Mingus (a well-known jazz bassist active between the 50s and the 70s). I'm fairly sure this is not a coincidence.

so maybe she asked him for help with her music.

Though as he died in 1979 it definitely wasn't the man himself.
(, Sun 17 Jul 2011, 0:03, Reply)
If you say he did then it must be a lookalike.

Maybe follow that up with early-Edwin-Collins and a bit of Orange Juice.
*Rips it up and starts again*
