And saves them from having to actually think. Intelectual laziness mostly. Even without researching anything there are holes in that arguement, and even if it were word for word true, there reasons why it might, or might not, be a disgrace. the best you can say for it if you switch your brain on is "hmmm, this is an interesting assertions, but lacking in details, maybe I shall look into this."
