The getting away with it thing
I think that applies to most people and most crimes. That's partly why I really fucking hate petty criminals so much, they have no problem with inconveniencing my day through nicking stuff, and even if they get caught, they face no sanctions at all.

Sometimes I wish I lived in Saudi Arabia.
