I like the one where Spongebob is trying to get into the tough guys bar....but keeps failing until he pretends to beat up Patrick by not even touching him and then he gets in and he slips over and gets taken to the wussy boys hospital. "Boo-boos, eh?"
From memory I'd say Ren & Stimpy was the genesis for a lot of this type of animation which is pretty mainstream now.
