You tell 'em!
What I hated when working in a shop was that people would look at the price, ask you to confirm the price, and then tell you that they didn't like the price.

What did they want me to do? I was only a shop assistant. It's not like I could have changed the price on a whim. How often I wanted to say "That's the price. Either pay it or don't, but don't whine at me about it."

It doesn't sound like it here, but I was very good at customer service, and I would often go out of my way to help people who were polite.

Actually, I didn't have a job at all until I was 22. Didn't need one, you see.
