Game of Thrones
I decided to reread before I read the new one or get round to watching the series. I realised it was 11 years ago I read this one. Weirdly nostalgic

If you read it 11 years ago, why do you find the nostalgia weird?

(, Mon 1 Aug 2011, 21:07, Reply)
it's an odd split between nostalgia for the time I read it
and nostalgia for the characters in the book
(, Mon 1 Aug 2011, 21:09, Reply)
Hope you enjoy it as much as the first time

so far, yes
I'd forgotten a lot of the details, but I'm braced for the terrible thing that happens in the 3rd/4th book
(, Mon 1 Aug 2011, 21:13, Reply)
I'm looking for new books at the moment

what kind of thing you after?
I can do sci fi and fantasy mostly
(, Mon 1 Aug 2011, 21:30, Reply)
I've got out of that habit
last thing I read was War and Peace. Anything good and new out?
(, Mon 1 Aug 2011, 21:32, Reply)
Best thing I've read lately is that one about living safely in a science fictional universe
Raw Shark Texts has been out a few years but it's ace. Apparently The Wind-Up Girl is amazing (next on my list), that last Iain M Banks one.

Oh and if you like slightly odd scifi/fantasy things try Cordwainer Smith. I don't know why I hadn't before

I'll keep a lookout
I'd like to get back to reading more.
