when I hit 14 or so I was allowed non nhs glasses. Foolishly I had massive plastic ones. Terrible. One day I'll dig out the picture of me with short hair in those things. *shudder*

I can see it in my mind.
Luckily my eyes didn't get bad til I was 15-16 and I managed to delay getting glasses until I was out of secondary school.

and those bastards are HEAVY. I reckon I could have lifted weights with my nose and ears in those days
