The chippy next door me says they're selling cod but I doubt it's cod, it doens't taste or texture like cod at all, it's that or it's been left for hours and is over cooked. I had fish'n'chips on saturday and they were oh-my-gosh-AWESOME from the one a bit further down the road from me, but the best thing about fish'n'chips these days are HP Guinness Sauce. Most of my life I've had cod'n'chips like three times a year, except for when they released HP Guinness Sauce, where I think I've had it about 8 times, I'll probably get it at some point this week too. I really really like scampi too, I love a bit of scampy, little crunch prawn balls, lovely. I had Scampi and cod and chips and scraps when I went on saturday, I left about 1/3rd of it, but I liked what I had.
I don't understand why people are obsessed with pies, I'm completely indifferent to the vast vast VAST majority of pies.

They should be golden and crispy, with soft fluffy insides. The ones I get in chippys are aniemic and I'm lucky to get more than 10 crunchy ones.

It's hard to find a good pie. Maybe I'll make a pie...

I haven't had a pie in yonks, I don't think I've had one this year, or last year, deffo not since you've moved in. That's any pie at all. I think I might get one soon to remind me why I'm indifferent to them. OHHH, actually, the marks'n'sparks one with the blue cheese is alright, if they still do them.
We could have a pie-off.
